Frequently asked questions

Do I get ROT or RUT?

It depends on the job. Painting, wallpapering and repairs in a home you own, such as doors and locks, qualify for ROT: 30 % of the labour cost. Assembling furniture and putting up curtain rods count as RUT instead: 50 %. Each service shows which deduction applies.

Does ROT apply if I rent?

No. ROT requires that you own the home: a house, terraced house, holiday home or co-op apartment. As a tenant you can get RUT instead, for example for furniture assembly.

What applies in a co-op apartment?

You get ROT for work inside the flat that you are responsible for under the association's rules, such as painting or replacing an interior door. Balconies, the façade and shared areas don't qualify. When you book, you give the association's organisation number and your flat number.

Are materials included in the deduction?

No. The deduction covers only the labour cost. You pay full price for paint, screws and other materials, and for travel. The price after the deduction is calculated on the labour part.

Can I get a deduction for hanging pictures, shelves or a TV?

Curtain rods count as RUT. For pictures, shelves and wall-mounted TVs it depends on the job. Each service shows whether RUT or ROT applies, and the price is shown without a deduction if none does.

The job is bigger than a fixed service. What do I do?

Choose “Request a quote”, describe the job and add photos if you can. The business replies with a price, and you pick a time if you accept. Asking costs nothing.

Does it cost anything to book?

No. You pay the business the price shown, and nothing to Nollby Service. Some businesses ask for a deposit when you book; it is taken off the price.

How do I cancel or move a booking?

Use the link in your confirmation. Each business sets how late you can cancel free of charge, and it is shown before you book.
