Frequently asked questions

Does car servicing qualify for RUT or ROT?

No. Car servicing and repairs don't qualify for a tax deduction. The price you see is what you pay, including VAT.

Does servicing at an independent workshop affect my new-car warranty?

No. Under EU rules you're free to choose your workshop without affecting the warranty, as long as the service follows the manufacturer's schedule and uses parts of matching quality. Keep the receipt.

When do I need winter tyres?

From 1 December to 31 March, winter tyres are required when there are winter road conditions. Studded tyres are allowed from 1 October to 15 April, and outside that period if winter conditions exist or are expected.

What does a tyre change cost?

Each workshop sets its own price, and you see it before you book. Compare prices and first free times at the workshops here.

Can the workshop store my tyres?

Some workshops offer tyre storage. If they do, it's listed among their services, with a price.

What if the workshop finds more faults?

Under the Consumer Services Act, the workshop should as a rule ask you before doing extra work, unless the amount is small. You decide whether they do more.

Does it cost anything to book?

No. You pay the business the price shown, and nothing to Nollby Service. Some businesses ask for a deposit when you book; it is taken off the price.

How do I cancel or move a booking?

Use the link in your confirmation. Each business sets how late you can cancel free of charge, and it is shown before you book.
